The year is 450BC, the height of the Greco-Persian Wars, you choose your side and determine what happens next. The once beautiful Greek land surrounding Sparta has become dark and muddied, stained with the blood of battle. Crops have ceased to grow, birds no longer fly over the once emerald green fields and the blue skies have turned murky grey.

With each passing day the ground trembles with the encroaching footsteps of gigantic foreign armies, ready to come and stake a claim to land that has remained in Greek hands for thousands of years. A leader must motivate his men, guide them in battle, direct their formations and protect them at all costs. Decisions will not be made easily nor without great consequence, you must be smarter as well as stronger if you are to share the spoils of war with your people.

Spartans

The famous Spartan warriors begin training as children, born into the art of combat, they know nothing but power and ferocity. They are the best warriors history has ever known, guided by honour, and you must command them into glorious battle. Train your Spartan army, build their camps, upgrade their weaponry, and choose your tactics. All while you capture, defend, and resist the Persian Empire.

The name Sparta will echo throughout time for its honourable warriors. But can you bring the Spartans more than honour, more than glory? With enemies everywhere, facing overwhelming forces, can you change the course of history and bring Sparta the victory its warriors deserve?

Persians

The Persian Army is known for overwhelming numbers, superior archers, and intelligent infantry formations. Enemies inevitably have two choices - fall or join. Now you must take control of the war efforts and ensure the victory of the Persian Empire. Develop your army into an expansive battalion, manage their resources, fight for supremacy, and earn powerful rewards.

The Persian Empire is an unstoppable force, it's futile that the Spartans even attempt to resist. But be careful, they’re small in numbers but stories tell of their formidable nature. Do not take their threat lightly, show them the full might of the Empire. Make sure that history forgets the Spartans ever existed.
